Hotel Park Ljubljana loves theatre, arts, film, dancing. Since its great love is anything that is linked to artistic creation, stars love to sleep at our place. This time it's the film stars of the Balkans.
Film Cirkus Columbia, directed by Danis Tanović, Oscar winner for No Man's Land, premiered in Slovenia on 29th March 2011 at Kinoklub Vič.
The red carpet premiere was attended by director Danis Tanović and actors Predrag Manojlovič - Miki, and Boris Ler.
Film Cirkus Columbia is based on a novel by journalist Ivica Đikić and tells a story about people who were naïve enough to assume that war would never happen. They believed in helping each other and in love without limits.
Throughout most of his film career Bosnian director Danis Tanović was closely linked with war and its consequences. All his experiences are collected in his first feature film and Oscar winner No Man's Land. Recently he shot Triage whose running theme is the consequences of war. The three films represent a trilogy. Before, during and after the war. Cirkus Columbia describes time before the war, No Man's Land the time in between and Triage the time after the war.
