Curry takes on Slovenia

Hot, mild, creamy or dry, any way you like it…

Some of the UK’s finest curry chefs will showcase their dishes at the Taste of Britain Curry Festival, from 11-15 February 2012, at the Hotel Park, Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

Syed Belal Ahmed, Festival Director said: "Bangladeshis who migrated and settled in the UK are the true champions of the British curry, who runs more then 12 thousands restaurants in every British cities and towns.

Ljubljana’s one of most popular hotel, The Hotel Park, will host the 5-day festival giving diners a unique opportunity to taste an exclusive selection of curry dishes. The mouth-watering menu, enjoyed in the hotel’s popular setting, promises a real treat.
"Over the year similar festival was organised at major European cities and people loved it," says Mr Ahmed.
"We are confident that there is an appetite for our unique range of Curry dishes in Ljubljana, which are milder and healthier," he added.

Mr Ahmed said: "The Taste of Britain Curry Festival is a vital part of Curry Life Magazine’s strategy to promote creative and artistic culinary skills of the best Curry Chefs across the world. It also aims at fostering their leadership role in the evolution of curry to meet the demands of the food enthusiasts."

The chefs were specially chosen out of hundreds of eager contenders in the UK as culinary masters in their own field who will introduce specialities ranging from the Balti Dishes to Chicken Tikka Massala.

The event has been organised by Curry Life Magazine. The Hotel Park, Ljubljana, is the co-organiser for the festival.
